35,000 Unique Visitors to the BJS Website in the First 9 Months

The BJS website went on line nine months ago, A.D.  June 25, 2008, the  478th anniversary of the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession. In that time we have had over 35,000 unique visitors.

Here are a few other statistics:

  • We average 1,100 unique visitors a day.
  • Since January 1 of this year we have averaged 167 new visitors a day.
  • We have over 30 regular authors, columnists and bloggers who submit posts to the site.
  • There have been 497 posts on the blogsite and 5,311 comments on those posts.

Organization Statistics

  • We have 225 dues paying members.
  • 11 chapters in the United States and Canada

National Conference Statistics

  • 82 attendees
  • 4 “No Pietists Allowed Parties”
  • 200 eggs were consumed at breakfast
  • 10 lbs of bacon was also consumed at breakfast and 150 sausages
  • New York style pizza was voted the favorite narrowly edging out Chicago style

About Pastor Tim Rossow

Rev. Dr. Timothy Rossow is the Director of Development for Lutherans in Africa. He served Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL as the Sr. Pastor for 22 years (1994-2016) and was Sr. Pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran in Dearborn, MI prior to that. He is the founder of Brothers of John the Steadfast but handed off the Sr. Editor position to Rev. Joshua Scheer in 2015. He currently resides in Ocean Shores WA with his wife Phyllis. He regularly teaches in Africa. He also paints watercolors, reads philosophy and golfs. He is currently represented in two art galleries in the Pacific Northwest. His M Div is from Concordia, St. Louis and he has an MA in philosophy from St. Louis University and a D Min from Concordia, Fort Wayne.

  1. No accounting for taste – the Saint Louis pizza was clearly the best. The presentations, fellowship and the worship at Bethany far exceeded expectations for the conference. This website has been excellent at presentation of issues which confront our church today and provides a soundboard for examination and response. Prayfully, we’ll remain steadfast in effort and dedication to our doctrine, liturgy, pastors and households. Thank you BJS.
