Parables in Matthew

In this interview, Dr. David Scaer discusses the parables in Matthew and how they are carefully put together and address aspects of Christian life. Most interesting to me was Dr. Scaer’s discussion of “The Parable of the Hidden Treasure” and “The Parable of the Pearl of Great Value” where he argues that they are about God’s zeal for the Christian rather than the interpretation I’ve commonly heard which says they are about the zeal the Christian should have for God.
