When is the Last Time you Heard a Lutheran Comedian? The BJS Conference is Your Chance, by Pr. Rossow

January 11th, 2013 Post by

Of course there are much better reasons to attend the BJS conference, like great Bible teaching, time-tested worship, comraderie with fellow copnfessional Lutherans, great food and great parties. This year howver, we are pleased to debut the comedic stylings of Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller. (I can’t believe I just wrote the phrase “the comedic stylings of Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller.”)

BJS was the first Lutheran conference to sponsor “No Pietiests Allowed Parties” (unless you count those “scary” things at the early years of Symposia at the Fort) and now we are breaking new ground again with the first conference comedian. Who says Confessionals are boring?

We are not talking about an entertaining banquet speech – we are talking about real live stand-up comedy. It has always been a dream of Wolfmueller to do some stand up comedy and so here he is, “Live from, from Aurora, Colorado, America’s Only Lutheran Reverend Comedian – Welcome to the Fourth Annual BJS Conference: Bryan Wolfmueller.”

Click on the link on the top of the home page to see the better reasons to attend, but at the very least, you’ll get a good laugh, from Wolfmueller or maybe even at him.

Under “Lutheran humor” there is Old Lutheran humor.

I tried googling “Missouri Synod humor” and “LCMS comedy.” They came up empty.

For all your sake, perhaps this pastor in question can do some comedic work with Pastor Juhl, he also has some funny and cutting-edge wit to Church and the like.
