One of our newest sermon contributors is hosting a conference for youth and their families that is very timely. The conference is free for those who want to attend. Christ not College First is a conference with some excellent speakers (Rev. Joshua Hayes, Rev. Marcus Zill, and Dr. Christian Kopff). The conference is going to be held on June 30th at University Lutheran Chapel in Boulder, Colorado.
The poster for it asks this question:
You’ve thought about schools and academics. You’ve thought about tuition and scholarships. But have you taken thought for your soul?
This is an excellent point and should be repeated often to families and high schoolers as they begin to think about college. A confessional Lutheran congregation or campus center should be the first consideration when thinking about college.
Here is the flyer for the event.
