Tuesday with Luther — Life in the Catechism

Brothers of John the Steadfast brings to your attention a program, “Tuesday with Luther”, which I’ve been producing for a while. I’m starting a series “Life in the Catechism”. This will be a weekly program that covers part of the catechism each week.

This first segment is an introduction and an explanation why you want to study the catechism. Some quotes from the segment:

Therefore I appeal to all Christians, especially the Pastors and Teachers. Let all Christians drill themselves in the catechism daily and put it into practice.

The point of the catechism is being trained to receive Jesus; to not rely on yourself for your salvation, but to rely on Christ.

As we progress through the study, you will be provided other resources to help in your study of the catechism.

Next week, prepare by reading the Small and Large Catechism sections on the first commandment — You shall have no other Gods.
