Steadfast Media Pick of the Week — Coaching for the Sacramental Entrepreneur

Coaching for the Sacramental Entrepreneur

Here’s a clip from the January FiveTwo “All Network Call” explaining why coaching is the right process for helping the sacramental entrepreneur in his/her endeavors. Besides the still confusing “sacramental entrepreneur”, there is also the term “discipler” which is introduced. It doesn’t seem to have to do with teaching since you may not be a subject matter expert, but it does something helpful. This stuff is confusing and as Jonathan Reitz says, “this whole sacramental entrepreneur thing is an area where we’ve never gone before. This thing doesn’t exist until we, across the network, begin to live into it.” (????)

  1. I think I heard him say that his vocation is to coach people to follow Jesus better. If he is a pastor I hope that his primary vocation is to feed Jesus’ sheep and not just train them. They will follow Him as the Spirit leads them to their life giving food. There is teaching and coaching in Word and Sacrament ministry, but there is far more proclaiming, admonishing, forgiving, encouraging and just plain giving Christ’s life to people through Word and Sacrament.
