CPH Releases Mobile-Friendly version of Small Catechism

ssmallcatechismConcordia Publishing House (CPH) is pleased to announce the official, free mobile version of the 1986 translation of Luther’s Small Catechism. This new mobile website allows all smartphone and tablet users to access the Small Catechism from their devices, by simply navigating to cph.org/catechism and bookmarking the site, making access easy, everywhere they go.

Android and iOS App versions are in active development with releases anticipated to start in the next few weeks.

“Anywhere in the world, people can pick up their phones or tablets and freely access this essential resource,” says Dr. Bruce G. Kintz, president and CEO of CPH. “We are devoted to serving the church and world with resources that use today’s technology to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as confessed faithfully in Luther’s Small Catechism.”

For years, CPH has made its 1986 Luther’s Small Catechism available free online. With the rise of mobile devices, CPH is now making it more accessible to people, wherever they may be.

With the English text, the mobile version also includes a Spanish translation, making the Catechism accessible to nearly one billion native Spanish speakers worldwide.

“In a time when many, if not most, denominational publishers are backing away from historic Biblical Christianity, our Concordia Publishing House is unquestionably the world’s foremost publisher of authentic and faithful Lutheran materials, and it is thriving!” says Rev. Matthew Harrison, President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. “This Catechism app will allow us all to do what Luther advocated and did himself. Like a child he daily studied and prayed the Catechism, which is nothing but the chief parts of the Bible which we all must know to be Christians.”
