Lutherans In Africa — A Texas Sized Testimony

Here’s a testimony from a Pastor in Texas:

It all began with a $1,000.00 challenge in a Worldview Everlasting Youtube video by Pastor Jonathan Fisk. He would personally send his $1,000.00 check after verification that his viewers collectively matched his gift in support of James May and Lutherans in Africa.

Before that day I had never heard of James May or Lutherans in Africa. After researching both the person and the organization I believed this was a worthy cause to support. Therefore, I personally matched Pastor Fisk’s challenge and brought the idea to my congregation to join me in support.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is a small rural congregation in the dirt and dust of Western Texas. It’s made up mostly of cotton farmers who truly love the truth of God’s Word and His mission at large. That mission is supported through a tithe of every offering received as well as a special mission offering gathered in December.

Over the past few years we have increased our support for Pastor May and Lutherans in Africa so that in 2012 we set aside all of the weekly tithes as well as the annual mission offering for Lutheran in Africa.

I firmly believe God is working mightily all over the continent of Africa. The Lutheran faith is growing astronomically to the point that there are not enough solid evangelists and pastors to take care of the Lord’s flock. Pastor May and Lutherans in Africa have designed an inspiring plan to help bridge this gap. Nothing would please my congregation and I more than to have others join in helping to purchase land and build a mission center in Africa.

Examine the material you are receiving together with my testimonial. If you have any questions or would like further information, please don’t hesitation to contact me. I would enjoy nothing more than to convince you to join this wonderful mission opportunity.

Always in Jesus, David W. Rohde, Pastor
St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wilson Texas
