Great Stuff Found on the Web — Introduction to Theology

A new blog from Pastor Brian Kachelmeier, a frequent guest on Table Talk Radio, is found at RedeemerTheologicalAcademy.org. He is Pastor of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

The goal of the Redeemer Theological Academy is to enable the saints to confess the Christian Faith handed down to us from the Apostles. In this age of competing religions and spiritualities, it is the special gift that each Christian has the opportunity to confess the Faith in the midst of an unbelieving world. These courses are designed to help you articulate what you believe and why you believe it. Podcasts and other resources are available at the academy site.

Introduction to Theology

Welcome to the new Redeemer Theological Academy!

The Apostle Peter teaches us, “…in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…” (1 Peter 3:15, ESV)

The goal of Redeemer Theological Academy is to enable the saints to confess the Christian Faith handed down to us from the Apostles. With the Apostles we preach Christ crucified. In this age of competing religions and spiritualities, each Christian should be ready for the opportunity to confess the Faith to an unbelieving world.

These courses are designed to help you articulate what you believe and why you believe it to be true. It is not good enough to just say, “The Bible says so.” Instead, the baptized should take the word of God upon their lips and speak it into the ears of others.

Study Questions- Introduction to Theology- Part 1

His second podcast, True Theology is About our Redeemer, is available here.

The subject of true theology is the knowledge of God and divine things. The true knowledge of God comes through Jesus Christ. The goal of theology is faith in Jesus Christ here on earth and life with God forever in heaven. Only in Jesus can we obtain the knowledge of salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and life everlasting. Only by the revealed knowledge of God are we able to know who Jesus truly is. In this lecture, we see that the Father reveals Jesus to us at the Jordan River and on the Mount of Transfiguration. He teaches us to listen to Jesus. Jesus has the words of eternal life. Furthermore, Jesus reveals the Father to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. When we see Jesus, we see the Father. To know Jesus is to know the Father.
