Manly Man’s Breakfast and Other Delights Await You at the BJS Annual Conference, by Pr. Rossow

We have a lot of fun and eat a lot of animal flesh at the BJS conference and this is no better exemplified than at our Manly Man’s Breakfast (see pictures below). The bacon, sausage, eggs and other carnivorous cutlets also make it easier for the carb counters in the crowd to enjoy a great meal.

Manly Man's Breakfast, 2011

We enjoyed the flaming cherries jubilee last February but after a year of finer foods celebrating the presence of synod President Matt Harrison last year, this year we are returning to our more traditional, grunt-grunt, manly cuisine. Registrants will enjoy  our Chicago pizza banquet on Friday night, the manly man’s breakfast on Saturday morning, and Chicago style hot dogs, cheese fries and chili for lunch on Saturday. All of this plus snacks and a travel snack bag to take away are included in the modest conference registration.

Don’t forget that even though BJS is primarily a mens’ group, we have several women members and every year the conference has many ladies in attendance. We also provide child care for a nominal fee to help fathers and mothers attend the conference.

Registrations are starting to come in. We hope you will join us for this years great food and a fine buffet of young buck speakers (Fisk, Wolfmueller, and Scheer), the preached Word of God from Revs. Kind (ULC) and Messer and of course the banquet feast of the Lord’s Supper served with rich and authentic Lutheran liturgy.
