Thank You Readers for Helping Us Set a New Record with 10,448 Readers Yesterday, by Pr. Rossow

These are interesting days in the LCMS during which we have tried to be the go to place for Lutheran news and commentary and you have rewarded us with outstanding support. We have set readership records in three consecutive days.

Sunday – 5,551 unique visitors; 13,876 page loads

Monday – 8,758 unique visitors; 24,995 page loads

Tuesday – 10,448 unique visitors; 28,104 page loads

I’m sure our readership will wane over the next few weeks but we do hope you will stay with us as we document and comment upon the next few months of an LCMS praesidium now loaded with men committed to what we describe on this site as traditional, liturgical, authentic and historical Lutheranism.

We won’t always agree with that praesidium and I am sure that they will not always agree with us but I sense that overall there will be a great sense of pulling together as President elect Matt Harrison leads the LCMS through the process of discussion and debate described in his document “It’s Time.” Harrison boldly asserts in that document that after a period of a decade’s worth of discussion we should find 85% of the LCMS unified and pulling in the same direction. That will be a great blessing and from what I have seen of Matt Harrison, he gives us as good a chance as any to get there.

I am already back in Naperville. I have some parish duties to look after. Months ago I helped to put together a week long Creationism Camp for our Jr. High and Sr. High kids. I hadn’t realized until a few weeks ago that it was scheduled the same week as the convention. My brother pastor here at Bethany has provided pastoral help and teaching for the first part of the week and now I have come off of cloud nine and will be helping out for the remainder of the week. The convention was a rush but now it is time to get back to the everyday vocation of administering God’s word and sacraments and of course  doing a little BJS stuff on the side.

We thank our regular bloggers for all thier hard work in achieving these numbers: Mollie, Klemet, Todd, Charlie and Martin. We also thank Norm Fisher our great computer whiz and webmaster for all his hard work to keep the site going and to make it possible for all 10,448 readers yesterday to stay tuned into Lutheran news and commentary. We look forward to you all joining us for the interesting ride for the next three years.

If you want to help guarantee that we will be able to keep up this great work help us out by clicking on the “Join Now” button above and registering to become a member of Steadfast Lutherans.  God bless you and be sure to check back in with us each day for more good stuff.
