For years President Kieschnick’s supporters have claimed that the confessional, liturgical, traditionalists in the LCMS are opposed to progress and against change. The video below by Rev. Jonathan Fisk (a BJS regular) is proof that such a claim is just not true. One of Pastor Fisk’s latest video productions is a great, edgy endorsement for Rev. Harrison for LCMS president.
Conservatives are not opposed to change, technology and new ideas. We simply use new media where it does not get in the way of the Gospel and also keep from letting the media becomes the message. This video is a great example of how many younger pastors and LCMS congregation members are tired of the old “modern” ways of doing things and are ready for some good ole’ banjo-strumming, genuine leadership for Missouri.
Note – The first half of the video is an excellent defense of the notion of truth. The Harrison endorsement starts about four minutes into the video. Also, the video was prepared at the request of Cross-Focused Leadership for Missouri; be sure to check their What Others are Saying section for other postings.
