Prayers for Christ’s Blessing on the LCMS Convention

For the next few weeks, up to and through the LCMS convention, every few days we will be posting a prayer for blessing on the LCMS convention. Some will be from the archives of the LCMS worship webpage “Let us pray” and others will written specially for BJS.

O Comforter of Priceless worth, send peace and unity not only to the nations on earth, but to the Christian Church including The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Guide especially those preparing for the summer’s Synod Convention. Give Your servants a spirit of Christian love as they seek to conduct the affairs of our church in all humility and godliness; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayers for Christ’s Blessing on the LCMS Convention — 3 Comments

  1. Small request. Would you please provide daily prayers for use each morning and evening of the Convention proper? Many of us BJS members are probably signed up for the “prayer vigil” and such liturgical assistance is always welcome. Thanks for what you can do.

  2. Thank you for doing this. It is a beautiful reminder, we should praying willingly & diligently for His Church, His LCMS, and those whom He has chosen to guide, defend, teach, train, and those in authority within it. Not just now, at this hour, but always.

Thank you again. God’s Will, will be done, that is also important to pray, yes?

  3. This is what really needs doing!
Could we put it at the head of the blog, so it doesn’t get lost?
It might well be a permanent fixture.
Whether Harrison wins or not, prayers are needed!
