More Good Stuff, Well, Maybe More Interesting Stuff, Found by Norm on the Web

I came across the following and found the comments on it very amusing. I thought BJS readers would appreciate a laugh reading through the comments.

Comment by Pr. Todd Wilken:

I knew there was a reason I like this guy… pastor, theologian, scholar, friend to cats…

A few of the more interesting comments:

  • Well this totally changes my vote. I mean, come on…cats?
  • Cats are awesome, it’s their hair all over that is annoying. I wouldn’t mind a Rex or Sphynx if hubby wasn’t allergic.
  • I don’t know, I think cats fall along the lines of theologians of glory. They’re independent, give conditional love, and do pretty much whatever they want. Dogs on the other hand are loyal, more obedient, and require more care. Definitely theologians of the cross. 🙂
  • That is a cool cat. Looks part leopard, part raccoon.
  • You err sir. It is dogs who theologians of glory as they parade their works for all to see; puffing themselves up as the Pharisees who prayed long and loud in the temple for all to see and marvel at. Cats on the other hand do their rightous work in private knowing that the blessed creatures don’t keep track of their good and noble work.

About Norm Fisher

Norm was raised in the UCC in Connecticut, and like many fell away from the church after high school. With this background he saw it primarily as a service organization. On the miracle of his first child he came back to the church. On moving to Texas a few years later he found a home in Lutheranism when he was invited to a confessional church a half-hour away by our new neighbors.

He is one of those people who found a like mind in computers while in Middle School and has been programming ever since. He's responsible for many websites, including the Book of Concord,, and several other sites.

He has served the church in various positions, including financial secretary, sunday school teacher, elder, PTF board member, and choir member.

  1. That cat looks EXACTLY like my cat (except Benvolio has a head). Now I’m jealous- my kitty met Pr. Harrison and I didn’t?

  2. I am not a cat person, but aaawwww, that is too sweet! Headed cat or not, it is just too sweet a picture (even if it is a cat).
Awwww….how adorable! I mean the picture!!!!
