Last Call for Signatures on our Letter about the Promotion of Heterodox Materials in the LCMS, by Pr. Rossow

Last week we published an alarming post that described how the North Wisconsin District published an article in their district newsletter promoting the ordination of women. A few days later we posted an article inviting you to sign the comments line asking district presidents to stop promoting non-LCMS materials in their districts. In a few days we sill send a letter to that effect along with the signatures to the the North Wisconsin District President, the entire Council of Presidents and President Kieschnick.

We already have a good bunch of signatures (86) but want to give you one last chance to sign before we send the letters. If you would like to sign the letter please click on the second link above, read the article and add your signature. We will post any responses that we get from the North Wisconsin District, the Council of Presidents, or President Kieschnick.

We are pleased to report that the North Wisconsin District President did apologize to his distirct. Information on that can be found in the comment section on the first link listed above. It is good that he apologized, now we would like him to stop promoting the Parish Paper and other non-LCMS materials in his district.

  1. Speaking of ‘last call’…if I have read correctly, today is the last day to submit nominations for the various boards of the LCMS…if you send them FedEx. They are due on 10 October 2009.
