You Can Now Check for a Reading Group in Your Region by Using our New Map Feature (plus four more groups added), by Norm Fisher

This week has been a good week for growing our confessional reading group list and for updating it with an easy to use database and map.

On Tuesday we added three more groups to the list and that prompted emails from an additional four more groups. One is a new one in Seattle and three were submitted to us in the past but got overlooked. We now have 30 confessions reading groups spread around 17 different states. (Click here or on the map below to see the new format.)

We look forward to adding your new or existing group to the list.

Looking at the map below, it’s amazing to see people involved in reading our confessions across the country — from Florida to North Dakota, from Virginia to California. This is what is going to bring us back to true Lutheranism — getting people involved in reading and understanding our confessional basis.

About Norm Fisher

Norm was raised in the UCC in Connecticut, and like many fell away from the church after high school. With this background he saw it primarily as a service organization. On the miracle of his first child he came back to the church. On moving to Texas a few years later he found a home in Lutheranism when he was invited to a confessional church a half-hour away by our new neighbors.

He is one of those people who found a like mind in computers while in Middle School and has been programming ever since. He's responsible for many websites, including the Book of Concord, LCMSsermons.com, and several other sites.

He has served the church in various positions, including financial secretary, sunday school teacher, elder, PTF board member, and choir member.

More of his work can be found at KNFA.net.
