New ULMA Event listed on Our Calendar / Calendar now has RSS feed

We received notice of an upcoming ULMA Forum and Meeting last night and have added it to our calendar. We had previously announced the calendar on this site, but it hasn’t been well publicized or made easy to use. We’ve now added a RSS feed that will make it easier to find information on the calendar, or add these events to your own site.

We’ve all received them in our mailbox — those announcements of events that are going on around the country. We frequently get three copies of notices for one event, but wonder if we miss others that are going on that we know nothing about. BJS is attempting to be the source to go to to find out about upcoming events, and we think that the calendar system that we’ve come up with is a way to do that.

Go to our calendar at https://steadfastlutherans.org/cal (or clicking on Calendar on the sidebar) .. if you don’t see your event there, click on the “Add event to this calendar” at the top of the screen. See what other events are coming up. Click on the event to find more details about it, including who to contact for questions or registration.

If this calendar takes off, it won’t be that difficult to map the events much as we have mapped the reading groups

I’ve recently added a RSS feed for the calendar .. https://steadfastlutherans.org/cal/rss.php .. you can add that to your RSS reader and be told of any new events as they appear on the site. Most readers will accept the calendar page, https://steadfastlutherans.org/cal, and find the RSS feed themselves. You can use the RSS widget available on many blogs or sites to inform your readers of upcoming events.
