Conference Goers – Please Sign Up for a No Pietists Allowed Party

The “No Pietists Allowed” parties for the upcoming National Conference will be first-come, first-served. If you are attending the conference we need to have you send us an e-mail with the party of your choice. To make your choice, contact us. Choose between one of the following:

Wine Tasting with Chris Rosebrough – This party will be at the beautiful  home of Elaine Gavin, our “Steadfast Parish of the Month” editor. Six fine wines will be tasted from sweet white to dry reds with a description of each and with plenty left over to enjoy a glass or two of your favorite. This party is limited to 20 people and will cost $5 per person. Cheese, crackers and other snacks are complimentary thanks to the  host. There is no knowledge of wine needed. This evening could actually make for a  nice introduction to the fine art of wine-tasting.

Fritz Baue Unplugged – Rev. Fritz Baue is an accomplished guitarist in numerous styles from classical to blues. He will be performing at one of the most luxurious homes in Naperville. The party will include complimentary drinks and oeuvers d’oeuvres thanks to the host. Since Rev. Charles Henrickson is travelling with Baue there is a rumor going around that he will be singing some of his famous theological parodies. You won’t want to miss this duo. The party is limited to 25 people.

Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge – Phyllis Rossow will lead a group down to the chocolate lounge in historic and quaint downtown Naperville. Individual chocolates are out of this world and also pricey but the chocolate fondue is reasonable when shared by a group. The lounge is small and intimate but even on a Friday night there are usually a couple of tables open so we should be able to accommodate 8 – 12.

Naperville’s Irish Pubs – Naperville has two authentic Irish pubs complete with bars and other furniture imported from Ireland. These places are crowded all of the time. We will have local hosts chaperon smaller groups or we will provide a map for a group of your choosing. The small size of these groups will allow flexibility for folks to explore the rest of the active night scene in Naperville if a given pub is busy.

Again, we are booking these on a first come first served basis so send and e-mail ASAP to Pastor Rossow  with your choice.

If you still have not registered for the conference it is not too late. Just click here for more information.
