James Blasius, a volunteer sound technician at Bethany Lutheran, site of the BJS National Conference, told me this morning that he was available to record the conference for those who cannot attend. James is a Brother of John the Steadfast and a faithful listener of one of our speakers, Chris Rosebrough, as well as Issues Etc. James said the only problem is that he knows how much Chris can talk and our DVD’s are only 120 minutes long. He’s afraid Chris might go beyond that. (For details on the conference click here. There is still time to register.)
So if you can’t make it to Naperville for the conference you will be able to be edified by downloading the presentations and worship . We look forward to our speakers Chris and Pastor Wilken giving us a little insight from behind the scenes in their work in new Lutheran media. One of the goals of the Brothers of John the Steadfast is to support the work of new Lutheran media, particularly Issues, Etc.
Even though the conference will be recorded, we hope you will take the time to join the Brothers and our other attendees in Naperville for the fellowship and experiences that just can’t be duplicated on tape. In addition to engaging speakers we will have authentic Lutheran worship, great food and a wonderful array of parties Friday night. I will be enjoying the Super Bowl this afternoon at the site of our wine tasting party. We plan on wrapping up the details for the party so stay tuned for an update later today and an invitation for all attendees to sign up for the party of their choice.
