7,062 Visitors to the Website in October, An Old Internet Periodical Back Again, And Several Conferences to Announce

BJS Website Statistics

We had 7,062 unique visitors come to our site in the month of October. Since our first day back in June we estimate that we have had well over 10,000 unique visitors. That is a conservative estimate. It is hard to know for sure since we have experimented with three different stat counters since June and each one begins the count all over again. Another impressive statistic is that we had 131,000 pages viewed in the month of October. Be sure to invite your friends and relatives to view the site so that we can spread the message of confessional Lutheranism throughout the LCMS and other synods. One to one contact from layman to layman is probably the most needed thing in the church today in order for us to establish and keep confessional Lutheranism.

“Reformation Today” Back Online Again

From Rev. Stefanski’s CAT41 list we have learned that the online magazine “Reformation Today” has returned to the internet!

https://www.reformationtoday.net

is the new URL, and there is a mixture of content old and new to read. Especially relevant–still–is Craig S. Stanford’s “The Three Walls Preventing Reform in the LCMS,” which has been joined by a review and update of the same, “Do the Three Walls Still Stand?”

“Reformation Today” would be a great place for brothers of John the Steadfast to turn to take it up a theological notch from our site’s more popular level of theological reflection.

Upcoming Conferences of Note

We thank Pastor Charles Henrickson for the information on these two conferences. Also don’t forget, as we noted last week, Pastor Klemet Preus will be speaking in Missouri as well this month.

CONVOCATION ON RESTRUCTURING THE SYNOD

“Restructuring” Convocation November 30: “Restructuring the Synod: Evaluating the Proposals of the Blue Ribbon Task Force” will be the topic for the Circuit Convocation of the Iron Mountain Circuit, Missouri District, on Sunday, November 30, 2:30-4:30, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crystal City (221 N Brierton Ln, Crystal City, MO 63019).
