Book of Concord

One of our goals at Brothers of John the Steadfast is the encouragement for the laity of our church to be reading the Lutheran Confessions. We do this by encouraging the formation of reading groups around the country, as well as periodic articles on the confessions, and calling your attention to special deals periodically.

We also support Weekly Readings from the Book of Concord bulletin inserts found found here, and daily readings delivered to your email found here.

BOCcoverDo you think it’s a good deal to get Concordia: Lutheran Confessions at $32?

Through the end of September, CPH is offering them at $20 each!

On top of that, what if you could go in with at least 3 others and get free shipping in addition to getting a great deal on this valuable book? Place an order of $50 or more, use promo code “GMA” at checkout, and get free ground shipping!

CPH has run this special several times over the past few years .. it’s a great way for your church to stock up on books to hand out to new members, or for members to get copies of their own so they don’t have to share with others when studying the Book of Concord.

In addition, you can get the Pocket Edition for $12.99 (a savings of $4)!

“The Book of Concord should be in every Lutheran home. If a person isn’t familiar with this book, he’ll think, ‘That old book is just for pastors. I don’t have to preach. After working all day, I can’t sit down and study in the evening. If I read my morning and evening devotions, that’s enough.’ No, that is not enough! The Lord doesn’t want us to remain children, blown to and fro by every wind of doctrine; instead of that, He wants us to grow in knowledge so that we can teach others.” – Dr. C.F.W. Walther

Nothing is more important than clearly confessing and bearing witness to the truths of God’s Holy Word which reveal the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is what the Book of Concord is all about. This edition of the Lutheran Confessions will instruct, inspire and educate all who use it and help them learn what it means to be, and to remain, a genuinely confessing Lutheran Christian.
