Check us out on Facebook – especially for Lent.

February 11th, 2013 Post by

facebook3One of the things that our readers are finding helpful is our facebook page.  Each time an article is published here on our site it goes out on facebook as well.  There is also some other content exclusive to our facebook page.  Each day we have a quote from a Lutheran father (usually Luther himself) that is meant to generate thought or discussion.

A special addition for the season of Lent will be daily devotions from a devotional I wrote a few years back called Lutherans for Lent.  These devotions are from the history of the Lutheran church, each day covering a different Lutheran father (or mother).  The devotion also includes a plan to read through the Gospels during the season, as well as to go through the Small Catechism each week and some suggested prayers for each day.

If you would like to have these devotions each day, LIKE our facebook page.

    Pastor Scheer,

Could you please tell us again about your excellent Lenten devotion book? I used it last year and learned a lot. Thanks.

Thank you John for putting those up. Last year I asked that if someone wanted to use them they could donate to the SAVE ULC fund. I think if anyone finds it useful this year and wants to show support they could do the same as ULC is working on raising funds to rebuild their chapel in their new location.
