Hotel Information for 2012 BJS Conference

Attendees at the banquet at the 2011 BJS International Conference

A reminder — registration for the 2012 BJS Conference to be held February 10th and 11th is now open. It’s best to register early so we can know how many to expect, as well as to perhaps arrange lodging or rides with others who are attending.

I’ve put up a page with the hotels that we recommended for previous conferences. We have not arranged a special rate, but in previous years the hotel only offered $5 off the normal rate, so you could probably find better rates on the ‘net.

In addition I’ve created a group to help those coming to the conference attempt to communicate with others who might want to share a ride to the conference or lodging at the conference. To find others, send a message to
[email protected] OR join the group on our hotels information page.

So .. waste no more time .. act now to register for our 2012 conference now! Don’t miss out on great sessions led by Pastor Jonathan Fisk, Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller, and Pastor Joshua Scheer, or two worship experiences with preaching by Pastor David Kind and Pastor Tom Messer.

As previous attendees are sure to tell you, you will rave about the dinner and breakfast put on by the Bethany volunteers and our dedicated day-school teaching staff.

About Norm Fisher

Norm was raised in the UCC in Connecticut, and like many fell away from the church after high school. With this background he saw it primarily as a service organization. On the miracle of his first child he came back to the church. On moving to Texas a few years later he found a home in Lutheranism when he was invited to a confessional church a half-hour away by our new neighbors.

He is one of those people who found a like mind in computers while in Middle School and has been programming ever since. He’s responsible for many websites, including the Book of Concord, LCMSsermons.com, and several other sites.

He has served the church in various positions, including financial secretary, sunday school teacher, elder, PTF board member, and choir member.

More of his work can be found at KNFA.net.
