Kieschnick: I’m popular even though no one voted for me!

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote about the current Synodical political environment. The piece has a mistake in it — it gave Kieschnick a bonus of 100 additional nominations (he only received 755, not 855), but the article is most enjoyable for what it tells us about President Kieschnick’s take on his dismal nomination results.

Even though roughly the same number of congregations sent in presidential nominations this year as last time, he’s saying that he lost hundreds of nominations over that same period of time because . . . people support how he’s managing things.

It’s funny. Hubristic, sure, but if you can’t appreciate the humor in that, you can’t appreciate humor period.

Anyway, here’s the article.
