Seminars

The CLCC seminars are continuing to grow in popularity as more and more people learn of our offerings. In just the months of Jan and Feb we have presented seminars in five different states and reached well over 200 people with two of our seminar topics. Three new states were added to our growing list of presentations. In May, we will be presenting our first seminar in the state of Ohio, our latest addition to the increasing number of states where we have made presentations. Your congregation could also be on the list. Check it out!!

Also, we have announced in January our new seminar on Organizational Structure of LCMS Churches. This seminar comes in three lessons; please see the Website for more details. Anyone, member or not, can download the PDF handouts for this seminar. Member congregations can receive the PowerPoint versions of the seminar for use in their own congregations. We have initial plans already to add a fourth lesson to the seminar having a working title of Financial Management for Congregations. While some parts of the lessons are focused on LCMS congregations, much of the content is universally applicable to any Lutheran congregation, particularly a confessional one.

In the review process is another new seminar having a working title of Witnessing to Jehovah’s Witnesses. This should be available by summer, so watch for future announcements.

CLCC Retreat

We had our first retreat at Lutheran Island Camp in Henning, MN on Feb 26-27. Rev Dr Karl Weber taught the retreat which was called “Lutheran Difference: Gifts of the Liturgy”. We had 11 people present for this retreat format, but we were a good group and all learned something, I’m sure. Good discussions were held, too. I want to thank Pastor Weber for all the work he went into preparing for it. It was great that Pr Jarvis was able to lead Compline Service at the end of Friday evening for everyone staying at camp. It was a nice way to end the day for everyone there. Thank you, Pr Jarvis.
