Greetings from the LCA – ACL Conference in the Twin Cities, by Pr. Rossow

The Lutherans Concerned Association and the Association of Confessional Lutherans are holding their annual conference in Minneapolis this year. This conference and many others are listed on the calendar section of this website. If you are in the Minneapolis area it is not too late to join these two groups for a great conference.

The LCA is one of the longest standing confessional groups in the synod. They have been working to preserve Biblical and confessional theology in the LCMS for more than a generation and deserve our honor and our support. The LCA conference began this evening and runs through tomorrow afternoon and includes presentations by Christian Preus on the Blue Ribbon proposals, Rev. Joe Fisher (pictured) on working in a non-confessional circuit or district and yours truly, the BJS editor, offering a critique of the Specific Ministry Pastor program the synod adopted two years ago in convention.

The ALC conference has a knock-out brilliant cast of speakers including BJS blogger Klemet Preus, BJS Quarterly editor Fred Baue and Issues, Etc. host Todd Wilken. I will be returning to Naperville tomorrow evening and will miss out on the ALC conference but again encourage those in the Minneapolis area to stop in tomorrow, Thursday and Friday for this great conference. It is being held at the Ramada Inn at the Mall of America.
